I decided to just put all the pictures (most of them, anyway) on and not to be fancy with it. Hope you all enjoy them!
We helped move Amy and Rodger to their new home in West Jordan (8600 South and 1400 West area) on Saturday. Amy's appointment with the doctor on Friday gave us the false hope that we would have at least another week to get all the boxes unpacked and things a lot more settled. But then, we all know babies---they come when they want!
Amy's water broke Sunday morning and Rodger kept after her to "get ready, we need to go to the hospital!" "What are you doing curling your hair!" "Why are you putting hairspray on your hair! WE HAVE TO GET TO THE HOSPITAL!" His anxiety was in vain, since Emma was on her on time table! They checked into the hospital around 1 p.m on Sunday and she finally made her grand entrance at 2:05 p.m Monday!!!
It was a long, hard labor for Amy. Tiring for Rodger. They went through at least 3 shifts of nurses! Kenneth, Emily, and I were at the hospital with them Sunday afternoon and evening. When we left around 8 p.m. we figured Emma would come sometime in the night. Boy! Were we wrong! When Rodger called around 7 a.m. and said there was still no delivery, Kenneth and I decided to go to the hospital again. We didn't rush, but this time it was Kenneth's turn to say: "How much longer till you are ready?" "Aren't you ready yet?" But I had to do my hair and get my makeup done! In the end, any hurrying was a waste!
We are so happy that Emma finally cooperated and came out! She has one tiny toe that doesn't stay straight. Amy is sure that is the one she had hooked around one of Amy's ribs so she wouldn't have to leave the womb!
Stay tuned for the continuing saga!!
